Closed Cell spray foam, often referred to as two pound foam, has unique qualities that make it a perfect insulator for almost any area in the home. Closed Cell is made of millions of closed cells that trap a gas that is lighter than air giving it a much higher R-value of 7 per inch. Closed Cell is great at mitigating moisture which makes it a great insulation for masonry and concrete walls, wine rooms, saunas, indoor pools, corrugated steel decks, and other areas where moisture control is important. Closed cell is also much stronger than open cell and can add structural integrity to a home as well as be used as under slab insulation prior to pouring concrete. In addition, closed cell foam is FEMA Class 5 rated insulation product, the highest rating for flood resistant materials.
